A Brief Profile of Tsito Awudome
TSITO AWUDOME ARTICLES/ HISTORY Tsito is a town in the Volta Region of Ghana. The town is known for Tsito Secondary/Technical School. Tsito means 'by water' or 'by the river'. It is also a settlement discovered after a migratory exploits of its founders (namely, Torgbui Fètsukpui, a famous and great hunter of Awudome). This great new Township of the Awudome Traditional Area, came into being after the Paramountcy (Anyirawase) delegated men and women with brave hearts to settle in this part of the land to secure the boundaries of the rich land. The Awudome Traditional Area is made up of the following towns, namely Anyirawase, Avenui, Kwanta, Bame, Tsibu, Tsito, Dafor, Tsawenu and Dèdèdo. The beauty of this town within the Awudome Traditional Area is that the unbreakable unity among the indigenous people continues to linger in the hearts of present-day settlers.
